Tuesday Morning- the rain had left overnight, even the roads were mostly dry. So Megan and I headed off for a ride. We rode Taronga Zoo and Balmoral down to the Navy base. Idle chit chat for the first 15minutes and then the slog.....so much easier on the way down a hill. It was especially cold down on the harbour foreshore, but truly amazing how many other riders are out in the early morning. What I have noticed is how many riders have these blinding lights on the top of their helmets. These things make you see stars if they catch you front on. Long gone are the battery powered flashing light....these are serious power pack supported items.

Also with the news out about the bear rescue, and the ability to name and have continual progress reports on the bear, some discussion has commenced in earnest about what the bears name should be. This will be a lively topic and one best decided by a competition of sorts.

But more interesting is the discussion around the bear itself. Some people would love if the saved bear was young and cute, whilst others prefer an older bear who can enjoy the remainder of its life without misery.

Any thoughts of name suggestions would be welcomed- please leave comments!!
